IFC Green Bay Butkus / Haunted Hill good cross???

I have a really nice female that is doing supper good in the field. She come out of Thom Youngs AMCA SNOOPY dog. I would like to cross her with Green Bay Butkus. She is in heat now,but here is the problem . This would be her first litter so to take a gamble on a 300.00 dollar stud fee plus the money for the drive and have somthing go wrong with the litter is a little scarry for me. I think I should wait and try to raise a litter out of my stock and see if she will be a good mom or not. I would like to breed to him with this gyp. From what im reading he is one tuff cookie. If I decide to wait, I hope I can make a future cross with this dog .I hope to champion her this year, she already has a 3rd and hasn't been trialed any since got her. Here is her pedigree. what do you think?

it should be a good cross and my shaker female crosses good the lake ogemaw/paycheck bloodline.this time i am breeding her to fc farrier's wrangler.you never to you make the cross.

His Daddy "Shooter" crossed very well with Shaker gyp's, and "Butkus" has even more great reproducers in his ped! You have a very well bred gyp, that should cross very well with him! Like Eugene said you never know till you make the cross, but the odds are definitely in YOUR favor!

Butkus has extreme hunt and is an all around great dog i seen him run on some tuff conditions and everything he did that day was amazing yes Butkus is AKC reg and is a IFC Butkus was the sire of the AKC large pack national winner Green Bay Paw King which i believe he is the youngest winner to win the nationals. wont go wrong breeding to Butkus JMO.

For the one's that has been lucky enough to see Butkus run. How is he in the brush ? He is not a very big hound. I would say he probably gets in the brush and tears it up. I going to breed one of my best gyps to him for sure. Hope to see ya soon Don & Dave.

FC Pea Ridge Jedi. Very Very nice 13 in hound. Hard hunt good foot good check work,doesn't do anything great but does everything good,most consistent hound I've seen run for a long time.
