thanks everyone.... cat hunting is lots of fun, we all need to understand that when people run the same areas things happen dogs may end up together or one come up empty handed crossing paths. who knows what happens in the woods as far as cats and dogs but as houndsmen we should all look at the whole picture. we need to get along in the sport we are our own worst enemys. i dont mind helping anyone and would hope to get the same in return...

????

Any body run a lynx in northern Maine

Posted by BLACKDOG6 on 02-27-2011 06:09 PM:

OUTLAWED

I DO NOT EXPECT ANYONE IS FOOL ENOUGH TO BE RUNNING LYNX. LYNX ARE A PROTECTED SPECIES UNDER THE US ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT AND MESSING WITH THEM IN ANY WAY I AM SURE WOULD RESULT IN BIG FINES AND CONFINEMENT. MESSING WITH LYNX IS LIKE MESSING WITH BALD EAGLES, SOMETHING YOU DO NOT DO OR EVEN SUGGEST.

THERE WHERE A FEW INCENDTAL LYNX CAPTURES BY LICENCED TRAPPERS WHICH RESULTED IN SOME HUGH COURT BATTLES BETWEEN THE ANTIS AND THE STATE OF MAINE. THERE HAS BEEN ONE HELL OF A BATTLE JUST TRYING TO KEEP TRAPPING OPEN BECAUSE OF IT.

ENOUGH SAID AND SAY NO MORE !!!!
