Need advise please

I got 8 month old pup that Is barking in the box bad, I have tried no bark collars, shock collars, and hind end kickings. He is the hardest headed pup I've ever seen on this. Any good ideas out there? He has been hauled plenty of trips, he don't do it as bad when the truck is moving , just when going slow, or stopped? I have bout had it with him on this. I'm going to try this next gettin a muzzle and make him stay in the box for a couple of days, only get out for bath room breaks and feeding. I ain't much on whopping a dog but last night I started with a 4ft. Switch nag got done with a 1ft long switch, he done good for about ten min. Then back to ground zero. So some of You more experienced hounds men please help out on this one. He is a well breed b&t and I hate to have to cull him on this one.

Thanks

Yeah, I have all but choked him to death with it, Todd even said he has never seen one that hard headed. What's so crazy is he never barks in the kennel, don't even know he is here? I am even going to cover the door on the dog box to see if that makes a difference, he doesn't pay attention to shock collar when you hit with it, Two weeks ago I ran it dead just over barking in the box in two trips, ever bark I hit him with it.

barking dog

you must not be shocking him hard enough tell him to shut up if he dont turn the juice up to where it gives him a really good jolt like the other fellow said make sure you have the collar on him tight enough i would put the long contact prongs on him they got more power than short ones jmo

Put a rope on him long enought to reach the cab. When he barks try pulling his head through the bars on the box door.

Tri Tronics on 6 for 3 seconds until he gets the message. Make sure the collar is good an snug.

Thanks everyone

Wow 6 years old and couldn't break him. I hope I can break mine you ever try a muzzle on yours, mine is driving me crazy, you guys gave me an idea On the rope through the cab probably do it with choker collar that way I can have control over him like on the leash. Thanks everyone.

The only thing I would stress in addition to what everyone else has said is to make sure you say the dogs name, make sure he can hear you, then the command, quiet, shut up ect. If he doesn't listen light him up good. The instant he is quiet reward him, good boy, treat, etc. This is the clearest way to get your message across that you mean buisness. Be consistant. Don't give up. It might feel like you are getting no where, but be patient, it should eventually click. Good Luck to you!
