registration problems
Hello, I am new to this. I hope someone can help me out. I have a red mini dachsund male puppy---1 yr old (7/03). I didnt buy him but was given him. I do not know any info on the parents or the breeders name/s. I WANT to register Peppey with a club. I DO NOT WANT to neuter him yet tho. I want to stud him once or twice before neutering. I really truly want him registered and he IS a purebred. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!
Hello.
What you have is a pet. While a dog may appear to be purebred, there is no guarantee that it is. Without registration papers it is not considered so.
Registration papers are passed from seller to buyer. There is no other way to obtain them. A purebred dog always has a pedigree.
I know you don't want to alter the dog but it is the best advice I can give you. This dog should not be bred. You would simply be adding to overpopulation of unwanted dogs.
Thank you for listening, I know it's not the answer you wanted to hear.
