Absolutely unbelievable how the scores from this year differ from those of last year by only changing the format.

It truly was a great hunt this year. I think that the weather had more to do with the scores than the format change. I was in some of the prettiest hunting that I have seen both nights; flat as a pancake, big timber, very little underbrush and just enough water. I thought that I heard that there was a record turnout also. Y'all did a great job to put that many hounds in such great hunting.

We all hope that some time in our hunting life we get the oppertunity to own a great hound. Rodney Donahue is one of the fortunate hunter's in our sport to have just that. I drew out with Slammer on Sat. night and saw for myself what a great hound Slammer is. He's 10 year's old and has the heart of a champion. Rodney is a top notch man and a true houndsman. I want to congatulate Rodney and Slammer on there double cast wins and continued success. Thanks for a great hunt, I had a blast.

Slammer placed 2nd place on Sat. night with a score of 625+.
