What a difference a year makes. Last year we were trying to break through the ice as we went through the swamps. One of the funniest things that I have seen was a hunting buddy who will remain anonymous slipping on a sheet of ice that didn't break until he hit it on his a--. His arms were a flailing and his feet were doing the strangest dance that I have ever seen. Almost every tree we made was a den. We were lucky enough to get one coon to peep out of his hole. This year should be entirely different.
For the past week I have been having some good races and seeing coons on the outside. Hope this holds up for everyone hunting in the GA. I live about 110 miles above Orangeburg so we have been colder than they have.
