Finally tree'd one in the snow!

Went tonight and my young gyp treed a single it was a den but i could see him sitting in the hole. Think i Finally got my first tree dog lol shes only 16 months lol. First ive ever tree'd in the snow

me too

i've treed several but it to miserable to hunt walking around looking like the marshmallow man in all my cloth's and the wind still cutting thru ya can't handle the winter time anymore be glad when spring get's here

Thats great you have a coon dog, JMO Huntin them in the snow makes a good dog a lot better if you ask me. Keep huntin in the snow, we drop and sit in the truck on the colder nites and when its not to bad out we walk along......

First coon you have ever treed in the snow!! After reading your post and sittin back thinkin about what you said and where you are located really started turning the "wheels"....Growing up here in central IL and NE Missouri, I think the first coon I ever treed was in the snow lol...I guess growing up with snow I never stopped and thought about you southern boys and the fact that maybe some of you have never treed a coon in the snow!! Kinda mind boggling to me after growing up with it all my life.

My dogs have never, and most likely will never see any snow. I just dont happen down here too much and when it does I aint gonna hunt in it anyway. LOL

A little fragile and soft down there are we!?!? This snow isn't scary, it won't hurt ya

yeah lol im only 17 and this year was my first white christmas here lol and i try to go as many nights a week as i can i would go every night if mom & dad would let me.(neither one coon hunt...they just dont understand how addicting it really is lol) I love my hound ive raised her form a pup and intend to keep her till the day she dies my first ever pup ive trained all on my own i sure am proud of her though.

im originally from illinois and i had more sense than to go out in the snow and coon hunt . we arent soft down here but one thing we have to deal with is gators , cottonmouths , rattlesnakes and copperheads . i would love to hunt in the snow these days and happy to hear that you all are treeing them in the snow
