-- comparable feed? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=395245)

comparable feed?

so my new pups have been on Pride 24/20.

I cant get that without driving almost an hour.....what is comparable to that? I have fed Pride in the past with great results but its just not feaseable for us to get right now...

Our local feed store sells Diamond (which id rather not feed) and Purina and a few other odd and end brands....

Got a store little farther away that i know sells Black Gold (which i really like but cant afford that the moment). and not sure what else.

so any suggestions?

I feed joy it's $23.00 for 26/18 and $19.00 for the 24/20. Not bad feed for the price. I like it for what I can get around here.

I switched from Black Gold to Sportmix dog food, check out their website, lots of dealers in S.C.,last time i bought feed,it was $18 for 21/12,$20 for 26/18 or 24/20 for a 50 lb bag.

You need to try Southern States in the green bag. some of the best food on the market at this time.

Hi-Standard--check their website

My other half feeds Pride to the deer dogs, and they hold up pretty well. Before he went to Pride, we used Sportmix on them...I'd say the results were pretty similar, but the Sportmix was a little more expensive. Like someone else mentioned, it seems like Sportmix is pretty easy to find around here!

I think the best thing anyone can do is pick out one of the better dog foods that is readily available to him, affordable, and keeps his dogs looking good and in good hunting shape... and stick with it! Forget the hype!

Spend the few extra bucks and get the diamond extreme athlete, you will find it will save you money in the long rum because you will feed less and your dog will be in better shape.
