Young Dog Question

I bought a 15 month old male dog three weeks ago. He has treed one coon (lay up) by his self. Hunted him with my 3 year old female he follows her so close that she starting to run just to get away. So I singled him out, when he strikes he will run it to the tree, locate, shut up and run the track back without barking. Then he comes back to me. Tried getting him to go back to the tree . Do you think he will get over this? Had him out about twelve times mostly the same.

turn him loose let him strike then turn your old dog into him let the old dog stay at tree till you get there pet him up teach him what to do give him a few coons if he is not tightened up then tie him let him watch the other dog fight the coon that has to help him......
