Good Looking dog(LOL)

It kills me when people say that's a good looking dog right there and 9 out of 10 people that say it either have a dog with the same breeding or own the sire. Everyone knows the dog is butt ugly and hard on the eyes.

It bother anyone else? Or am I wierd? LOL

People do the same thing with babies. I know it would hurt peoples feelings if people told them their baby was ugly but some of them are.

People are the same way with dogs a lot of times though.

why is it that years ago a good looking walker was one that was blanket backed and red headed, now everyone thinks all those open spotted ,all white half white faced dogs are good looking.

It depends on what you like on a dog... I dont think blanket back red headed dogs are good looking... I think a white faced, calico eared, open spotted, ticked up dog with dew claws is a good looking sob...

Who sets the standard for what is "butt ugly and hard on the eyes"?

thats not a ugly walker, thats a good looking joker there i guess if it is a coon dog who cares what it looks like

ugly

one of my hounds is butt ugly but he is a hard hunter so i don't care what they look like i just want a good huntin dog i don't care about looks at all

Dogs are like women everybody likes something different

to each his own, 20 yrs ago there was only 2 breeds being
showed look at us today lots of good built hounds out there.
why leave 1/2 the trophies at 3.10 a gal.

I dunno know about some but if I post nice looking dog I mean it or I wouldnt have posted it. I like the look of some dogs that people tend to think are "ugly".

Personally, I think a tri-colored dog of any breed isn't much to look at. I've always thought tri-color is just plain boring. The majority of the dogs in my yard, are tri-colored (Walkers) but that's because I'm not putting looks before ability.
I'll often refer to a dog as "good looking", not because it is my preference but because it seems to be the preference of the majority. For example, one of them purty, cherry red headed, big ole houndy eared, blanket backs, most coonhunters feel is "good looking" so if I see one or am telling my buddy about it, I'll say its a good lookin' dog.
Give me one of them black & white, 1/2 faced beauties any day.

JiM can say all he wants about kate, but she is a nice looking little gyp. she was as ugly as HELL when she was a pup but she grew into herself and i think she is nice looking.

she is ticked up more than more blue or english. We were all at an RQE once and JiM watched 2 guys stand and argue wether kate was an english or walker dog.

i know one thing.... when this cross is made.... i am on the list for one!

At the Zones the big argument was whether she was a Bluetick or an English. They avoided a fight by agreeing she was an English Bluetick. But her mom and dad are both full blooded Walklers. Oh well.........
