Many years ago I had a 18 lb coon that would not tree. It just ran around a flooded corn field (DNR's handy work for waterfowl) for over an hour. The dogs finally caught it. I actually have video from the next day as my male dog stood over the dead coon staring at it.lol I am just guessing, but I think he was daring it to move.lol

This coon had absolutely no fat and it was late October. I can only imagine how big it would have gotten if it had some extra weight to throw around.

I hope ya are stopping by TSC to pick up some penicillin. NJ looks like he could use it.

I had 1 do that a couple years ago but my older dog had a pup with her to help her out. They struck along the river and they coon lit out over some bottom ground that hasnt got a tree for miles.I was starting to wonder if my dogs were on something different when they started baying.By the time i go there i couldnt tell who was getting the better end of the deal but both sides werent happy. He was a big one too.
