Need Nice Used Trophy's

We are hosting a youth hunt in Georgetown S.C. Dec. 11th. We would like to give every youth a nice trophy. Times are hard and money is tight so I'm reaching out to my fellow coon hunters to donate some of your old dust collectors. And anything else that you could donate would be greatly appreacated. These kids are our future so lets help them. Thank you very much in advanced!!! Joey Bourne cell 843-344-7599

Address to send donations to: Janet Morris 55
hillard Street, Georgetown, S.C. 29440

P.S. If you live with in driving distance please bring out your kids. We want to see them all.

KELLY WHO ? GIVE 'EM FULL CREDIT SON.

I GOT THESE 3 BIG THROPHIES. I FIGURE THE BIGGEST FOR HIGH SCORING DOG, THE NEXT BIGGEST FOR OVERALL SHOW, AND THE OTHER FOR OVERALL WATER RACE WINNER. I'LL CHECK AND SEE IF I HAVE SOME OTHERS FOR THE SHOW AND WATER RACE. THE GRANDS USUALLY TAKE THEM HOME WHEN THEIR DOGS GET SOMETHING.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

All I can say is the checks in the mail. It would be nice if we had a trophy for every child that signs up a dog for any event. I'm still reaching out to my fellow coon hunters for help on this.

guys and gals,
this is going to be a great show for the kids, any help would be appreciated and please bring your children. it is always enjoyable to see the look on their faces when they receive some type of award for doing what you, as parents, taught them, and what they love to do now. hopefully, with events like this and many others, they will succeed to be the top coonhoundsmen of the next generation. just takes an evening with your kids.

Kelly are you a member of a local CHA? You should get involved with the youth program, you sound like you would be a very dedacated person. We have a top notch youth program in S.C. and if I'm not mistaking we are one of the first state to implament a youth program. We have a very dedicated man in out state CHA by the name of David Mckee that does a great job. I would like to start a youth scholarship fund and have tried to raise some money but things are just to tight right now. Maybe one day before I die we will be helping kids get a good education on our buck.

youth hunt

I have seen a excellent turn out for the event in the past, johnny altman and i, have always made sure that we had plenty of supplies for this hunt, so every youth hunter got an award for each event. 1st year we had 2 lights donated and second year we had 5 lights donated, and we bought 1 light together and donated the light to the youth hunt, we even got one of the hunting suppliers to come down for the event, hell hole and the members bought dog collars, coon squllers, leashes and other hunting items for the hunt, there is alot of work contacting all of the light and supply companies out there, but if you are a regular customer and are friends with the owners it helps, maybe if the club would spend a little money and purchase hunting items from the suppliers they may help out and donate for the youth hunt, it sounds like there is a lack of leadership at hell hole, I heard from one of the club members that the secretary bought 300.00 dollars worth of old trophies from a local hunter and that money could have been used to get the youth hunt trophies or other awards for the kids, I have plenty of trophies that i will donate for the event, 10 first place, 12 night champion, 6 best of show, several class and breed, 10 line and tree water race and treeing contest trophies. If you need more johnny may have some to donate also.

Anything you can donate would be great. As far as the club politics I don't know what to tell you. All I know is I'm working hard to make this a event these kids will enjoy. We will have annual elections in july. If you want please come vote. Any tips to make this a better hunt would be good. This is my first time helping.
