Sportmix Pet Food?
My father came back from the local farmers co-op. He told me about the guy at the desk was telling him about this Sportmix dog food. The guy was really speaking highly of this food. (wich I understand he has to sell a product) I feed Purina, but I hav'nt heard of this dog food before. Have any of you heard of this food before? Or anyone feeding it? Let me know what you all think if you know this food.

been around for years. use the search button and you can find all the info you want
Started feeding it right after Diamond's aflotoxin issue............fed it up until last spring when I kept hearing good talk about the Southern States Advanced line and tried a few on it and liked what I saw and switched them all.
Probably going back to SportMix as local dealer who I was buying SS is getting outrages on all their dog food prices -- all brands.........feed store was bought out and new owners changing direction..............bringing in all those high dollar feeds. Saw one that was $58 a bag.
used to have 15 hounds and we fed it. they did great on it.

I got a price sheet. it says:
Adult maintenance 21/12, im assuming this is your regular everyday feed? Then they have Energy Plus 24/20, Hunters Select 22/16, and then High Energy 26/18. Wich of these three would be the best winter/hunting feed?

Here is their site: http://www.sportmix.com/
26/18 for winter. If you were way up north, their 24/20 blend.
I been feeding sportsmix for three years now, and its the closes thing to black gold that we could find. We couldnt get black gold around here any more, but sportsmix is great. I talk to the mississippi-lousianna state rep often. They are a great company, and if you have any qustions call them.
sportsmix sells rep. for MS an LA is Chad Harter

He will answer any thing you would like to ask him, and he will also make a trip to your local feed store to try an get them to try it. No matter where you live he will help you out, or put you in contact with whoever you need to talk to. For any clubs in your area they will donate dog food to the hunts. Just call an ask them they will even come speak to the hunters about it if you want em too.

I switched from BG to Sportmix and the dogs like it and do good on it,and a plus is around here,it's $4 cheaper a bag.
We feed the 24/20 to all our dogs, not just the hounds, and they all do extremely well on it. we feed it year round and just adjust the amounts as needed and they haven't done as well on any other food. And for the cost you can't beat it. We can get it for $22.50 a 50 pound bag....BG cost $25.99.

I remembered I still had one of his emails with his info.
I fed Sportmix for a while and if I ever change from the Purina I'm feeding now it will be back to SportMix. I fed the 26/18 and it costed 20$ per 50 lb bag.

I have been feeding both the blue bag and the black. Store got in some in a red bag that is suppose to be like the blue bag, but the dogs lunge at me when I feed them now. They simply love it, but wow, they have bad breath now. lol

Been feeding it for several years now and really like the results. The maintenance feed is good for warmer months when not hunting 5+ nights a week but I switch to the blue and/or black during heavy hunting. I get it at Quality Fencing in Lafayette for $19.75/50# bag. Unless something happens with the quality of the feed I dont forsee me changing anytime soon.
