The Blue Delch Strain Of Plott Hounds

Anybody know anything about this line of blue plott hounds?

This was a breed of hound found in the east Tennessee and west North Carolina region maybe 200 years ago and rumered to have been crossed into the Plotts at sometime.Im sure they are all gone by now.

critter, thanks for the info, Do you or anybody else know if any blue pups still show up in litters of todays Plott hounds

I had one as a boy that was blueish grey. Not sure of his breeding though other than he was froma bear hunter and purebred.

Were did you get your info!!!!! It is very interesting!!!!! I have never heard that before. I will talk with Bob Plott about that next week. The lepoard cross is popular and the blue plotts i know go back to Blue Joe & plotts Lepp. This line, your talking about is new to me

This was the first I heard about them also. I googled them and this old post came up. I have several Maltese plotts not blue delch.
I was looking for some color photos but haven't found any.
I was just wondering why there are so many Maltese showing up now, more than 20 or more years ago. I'm guessing because there is more line breeding going on???????
I would be interested in some of the info you might have on any of the old big time breeders, good or bad. PM it if you don't want to put it on here.
