SETWA Youth Hunt and Show Salisbury NC

I would like to congratulate all the winners at the Southeastern Treeing Walker Youth hunt and show yesterday.

If you have never attended this event you owe it to yourself to go!! These folks put on a good event and the kids really enjoyed everything. We have been to alot of Youth Events this year and this was first class!!

Marlo did a great job yesterday and spent alot of time explaining and working with the kids during the show.

Lauren Lanning was the overall show winner handling CH Kentucky River Little Belle, owned by Lee Currens.

41 dogs were entered in the show.

If someone knows the hunt results please post.

anyone know when and where the winners pictures will be posted?

Posted by Connie on 10-11-2010 06:38 PM:

King of Show

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate my nephew, Justin Hogan, for winning BOS male and King of Show with his Walker dog, Chance. We're all very proud of him as he has raised and trained this pup from the time he was 8 weeks old. We live next door to Justin and as soon as he gets home from school, he heads for the kennel and practice, practice, practice. Chance is 10 months old and our kill season starts next weekend. I'm sure on more than one occasion Chance will be on the end of Justin's lead. Chance's father is a dual champion and Justin's expectations are for Chance to follow in his father's footsteps.

Thanks to the directors for putting this wonderful event on and Marlo Arp did an outstanding job in explaining what she's looking and what the breed standards are and how she came to each decision when awarding the wins.

JOB WELL DONE!!!

Good job Justin!!!!! "King of Show"
A lot of good coondawgs that can get it done on both the bench and in the woods have come from that small town on top of the mountain in southcentral PA.
I'll bet your Grandpap and Uncle are so proud of you.
Is this one of the pups out of Angels sister?

The Belands,
Bruce, Jill, Amanda, Autumn & Amelia

Yep Bruce!

This is one of the male pups out of Angel's sister and Justin's dual champion. Needless to say, he "floated" home... :-)

Hopefully see you guys soon somewhere!
