College Football

With Alabama falling, the BCS title game is wide open. I think a one loss team will be in there.

This leaves the door open for Boise. If they win out and everyone else is 1 loss what then?

with 1 loss on the tide dont mean anything. there has been two loss teams playing in the bcs title game

no matter what the SECwill bring home another BCS title
lsu auburn and alabama aint out of it yet. boise st schedule aint tough enough ohio st may make it and oregon looks good.
my money will be on the tide making it and winning it.

the SEC is the strongest confrence out there and the only reason they wouldnt make the bcs title game is cause they beat each other in confrence play.

They will try their darndest to get any other conference in there except the SEC.

Why?

Because that's the only way another conference can win the title.

The SEC has never lost the BCS title game. Don't think this fact is lost on the powers that be.

You can say that again.

There will not be a SEC team go undefeated this year, Arkansas and S.Caralina are the strongest teams in the SEC this year. but i Agree it is the toughest conference and this coming from a ACC fan, but even you SEC fans have to admit, The talent is really starting to spread out all over the country compared to 5 years ago. But this has been one crazy year so far, who knows whats going to happen. I AM JUST GLAD TO SEE LANE KIFFIN LOSING just to be honest with guys. but theres my OPINIONS on NCAA football this year.

i will agree with you on the undefeated part but south Carolina is strong but there is several teams stronger than the game cocks.
gators, tide, lsu, auburn.
alabama is the best most complete team in football. they needed that loss bring them back to earth. yea talent is spreading out but still no other conference plays smash mouth football or plays real defence like the sec

i really dont think there will be an undefeated sec team this year. and the powers to be wont let a 1 loss sec team get in ahead of an undefeated ohio st, oregon, nebraska, okalahoma. i agree sec is still toughest conference but the powers to be dont wanna see a 5th national ch won by the sec. hell they been hoping bama falls all year, that was the only hope that bama wouldnt make it. im a bama fan but the loss does them good. reality check

The SEC will not have an un defeated team. Alabama was youre only hope. Ohio State can not run the ball so put a little pressure on the oh so great Pryor and he will fall appart. TCU and Boise aren't getting beat that's obvious. Oregon sadly may go un beaten but it sure isn't because there the best it's because there in the PAC 10 which is horrible this year. I'm hopeing Michigan State gets crushed by Iowa and Ohio State beats Iowa but Ohio State falls to Wisconsin. Boise will win the National Championship if given the chance. They are a solid team on defense, offense, and special teams.

Someone said Florida was good? They are terrible. They aren't half the team they were last year. That QB is as bad as Texas QB.

LSU, Auburn or Alabama will play for the National Title in my opinion. LSU and Auburn are undefeated but they both have to play Alabama. If Bama wins out they will own the tiebreaker and play in the SEC Championship game. Winner of that game will almost certainly play for the title.

Any of those three teams will have to have had wins over 5 or 6 top 25 teams to get to that point so no way the voters or the computers will keep them out of the title game.

Oregon, like them or not, will probably be the other team because they will most likely go undefeated and the voters love them. The computers also like the big margins of victory they have been putting up.

So if bama wins out and goes to the SEC championship and gets beat by a team from the east that has 2 losses you telling me there is still going to be aSEC team playing for the national championship? At the least I think there will only be one team left at the end off the season with 1 loss. The rest is going to 2 or 3. I hate to say it but there is not really a impressive team in any conference that I have watched yet...but there is alot of young teams that I am anxious to see in the next couple years. And I'm not trying to down any bodys teams by no means.but we will see at the end if the year...

SC is the best east team by far and they will not win a neutral site game with Alabama and most likely not with Auburn or LSU. However if they do beat Auburn or LSU in the title game that will still be a one loss SEC team winning the conference championship.

The SEC will be won this year by a one loss Alabama or SC, or an undefeated LSU or Auburn.

Again only my guess but an educated one.

Vrigli, have you watched Auburn or LSU play? Neither are championship material. They have had 2 games against nobodies come down to the last play of the game. Give them a couple weeks they will loose. Shelby if you have not seen Boise State play you need to. They are a very excitimg team to watch, they have been for the last few years. Oregon is either going down against Arizona or USC. Ohio State is either going down against Wisc onsin or Iowa.

Posted by barryg35 on 10-11-2010 03:25 PM:

lol there are alotta if's. if alabama, auburn or lsu win out they will have played 5 top 15 teams during the year to get there and including the sec champship so yes they could squeeze in with the computer rankins. but a 2 loss team has no shot. but lets not forget nebraska and oklahoma will both have to loose a game right? nebraska looks strong. and thats my guess nebraska/oregon

I have seen both of them play and while they both have weaknesses both could also run the table. Auburns biggest remaining game is the rivalry game with Bama and with emotion anything could happen in that one.

LSU looks like crap all games and pulls out a win every week. Would not surprise me to see them lose 3 or 4 games the rest of the year nor would it surprise me to see them run the table. Besides Les Miles has a habit of winning games ugly, the year he won the title he had a similar mess of a team.

What I am saying is I believe there is a good chance a 1 loss SEC team ends up playing for the BCS title.

I think all the Big10 teams will lose a game and will be behind any 1 loss SEC teams. Oregon could easily lose a game. Nebraska could make it undefeated but with a freshman QB you never know.

The big wild card in all of this would be if the voters would rank an undefeated TCU or Boise ahead of a 1 loss SEC champ such as Bama. Be interesting to see how it plays out.

Just dont forget about Sparty! Big jump in the polls this week.

Who has stopped Terrell Pryor so far? He`s 6`6" and 240lbs. He runs a legit 4.3 40, and he`s still learning the position. As Pryor goes, so goes
the Buckeyes. I hate the sec and the pac 10. But with that said, the sec is
the best conference out there, and I think Alabama is still the best team
in the country. I love my Buckeyes, but they have to step it up to beat
Wisconsin and Iowa, especially on the road.

I think any 1 loss sec team will jump an undefeated Boise St. or TCU for the BCS championship game. I think it could be Alabama vs Nebraska in the title game! Just a thought!!

Posted by hound-hunter101 on 10-11-2010 06:41 PM:

Put a little pressure on Pryor and he is done. It's been proved for the last 2 years. His passes look like dying ducks. He won't ever see a NFL starting squad.

The problem with Michigan State is that they could go undefeated and not even win their conference. They are going to need Ohio St. to lose to have ANY shot at the National Title game.

Bama cant stop Auburn..It aint happening..If South Carolina is the second best in the SEC...Auburns done whooped them..Auburn wins it and goes to the National championship..Where they will likely get clobbered...

Boise wont make it, their strength of schedule just isnt there, I see a 1 loss Bama team going in against Oregon and the SEC pulling out another win.

We must have watched different games. Auburn def didnt "whoop" south carolina. Reciever only had to catch a pass in the endzone to beat auburn and not only that but garcia fumbled on two drives in the redzone. Auburn is a one man show. I will say he is a hell of a oneman show but itll catch them.

Auburn squeaked by S. Carolina and LSU squeaked by Tenn. I thought both should have pounded their opponents so I say Auburn and LSU are LUCKY and I would rather be lucky than good most days.

Wish they would do a play off system but it wouldnt be fair to the other conferances for the SEC to have TWO teams playing for the title. JMO
