AWESOME!! That's exactly right we live for these moments.. Hope you enjoy him as much as I do mine although all I have is memories of our countless times in the woods and in the creeks and ponds fishing as well about your son's same age because my son is pushing 20 now and still loves his hunting and fishing. Enjoy it now because man, they grow up over night it seems... Wish you and your son a lot of time like these to cherish forever.

my son
My son is eight and he started hunting with me last year. We have some good times together. He takes every step I do. He has been cold and wet. He has walked 600-900 yards in water up to the top of his boots. He is my best hunting partner. I do cherish these times. I didn't coonhunt as a kid but he loves it. We have some dogs that will tree coons but not a comp type dog yet. I hope to have one one day though. We too talk about all kinds of subjects while in the woods. It is great to take him. My wife and 14 year old daughter go sometimes too. Its great when the whole family goes. Keep them in the woods.
What's she out of that's a good lookin gyp! Got a fine lookin boy to take her huntin as well...that's the stuff memories SHOULD be made of right there!!!

Great picture keep them in the woods.
I have a picture in my head (only because I didnt have a camera ) of my daughter at the age of ten and her great grandpa standing under a huge red oak with grandpa hugging up the young girl to keep her warm. I dont even remember if we found the coon that night but it didnt really matter when I saw them.
