Mi State Association Banquet In Febuary 2011
WHY IS THE BANQUET BEING MOVED TO ANOTHER PLACE,ALSO IS IT STILL ON A FRIDAY NIGHT.YOU KNOW THAT FRIDAY NIGHTS IN FEBUARY THERE IS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL GAMES,PEOPLE DO OTHER SPORTS.ALSO WHAT ARE THE PRICE OF THE TICKETS,ALOT OF PEOPLE LIKED AT THE LGRSC BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION?
Eugene, The Michigan United Coon Hunters Association banquet is a state wide event, and we have members from all over the State. The Looking Glass River Sportsmen club held it for two years in a row, and it was voted to move it to another part of the state. Your club was a great host, and I am should no one would disagree.
We have tried to mirror our banquet similar to how the Michigan Hunting Dog Federation runs their banquet on a Friday night which is and has been a huge success for them. I believe our banquet has been a great success as well, and members of the Hunting Dog Federation believe that our two banquets were a bigger success than what they held their first couple of banquets.
We made a committment not if at all possible cause conflicts with any Michigan Nite hunt, and that Friday in February there all no club events.
I would suggest to you or anyone else who thinks there is a better date or way of handling our annual banquet please come to our meetings and speak up.
Our meeting are at 1pm the second Sunday in January, March, (May is the Sunday before the State Hunt), August, October, and December.

banquet
in case you havnt noticed the hunt entries are way down the last couple years.(including the mi. state hunt) the banquet hosted by the state assoc. is on its way to being THE fund raiser. this being said, you and your club are needed, yup another donation request. without going into a long detailed list of what the assoc. does for the mi. coon hunter (details are at every meeting) money raised at this event helps to fight for our rights as coon hunters.
everyone knows things are tight here in our state, but even the smallist donation helps !!!
to donate contact jeff or any association officer
