2006 World Champ dying
I took Quick to the vet yesterday and found out that she has a very large, aggressive tumor growing on her mamal gland. My vet said she will go down hill very rapidly. So for the next month or so she will be spoiled like a puppy. The good ones go fast. I would like to get a picture of her and her two daughters before she's gone. She left us two great females that we will be hunting and breeding. (Split Creek History Agile, 9th place 2010 World Hunt) and my favorite little pup I raised in my garage last Dec .(Split Creek History Solo), that I think can be famous like her Mom, she's that good. Good luck hunting everybody, and give your old hound a hug. I am going to miss this dog but she gave us the title (WORLD CHAMPIONS).
Sorry To Hear It.

Got to see Quick crowned World Champ in Tennessee. U could tell by the blood on the end of her tail and the scratches she had in her coat that she is a go getter. Hope all goes well.

Man guys I'm very sorry to hear this news.I'll be keeping the Felderman family and Quick in my prayers moving forward. You guys are class act people that are very deserving of that 06 World Title.I'm sure theres another coming soon if either one is half as good as ol Momma.I only had the chance to hunt with Quick one night but that was enough for me to say,she was as nice as they come.Jason Cooper
Very sorry to hear of this Dennis. I'd love to help you out with the pictures.

Ole JD is going to have a bunch of good ones to hunt this year. He never got to see Slick tree her first coon, but now he can see her tree lots of them. Memories!!!! Take care, Ron.
SO SORRY!
Hate to hear this. Having done hospice care now on a few hounds... may you ENJOY the time spent spoiling her. Listen to ALL the stories her eyes will tell you during that time. A hounds eyes are so telling.... Hoping you get that GREAT picture and that we all get to see it....
We will share your bittersweet time with you in Spirit,
thoughts and prayers, Heather and Bob

Dennis and Todd...don't write her off just yet. I had the exact same thing happen to my old English Setter female a few years ago. Very aggressive tumor in the mammory system and same prognosis.
Anyway, mine got to where she wouldn't even eat. Looked like I was losing her. Switched her over to that soft dog food that comes in individual packets and looks like hamburger. For some reason, she came back strong. Started putting weight back on and the tumor actually started to shrink until it finally was the size of an acorn or so. I hunted Sally for two more years.
Don't want to give you false hope but something to consider. It worked in my case and nobody could explain it. I hope Quick makes the same turn around. Sad.

Sorry to hear about this. Its hard to let go of those good ones. It sounds like she did a good job leaving you a replacement though.

sorry to hear of
Quick and her tumor. But pray on it and if it is God's will she will make it if not you have all the memories. Don't give up on her and like you said give the Old and Young hounds a Hug because they can be gone at the drop of a hat. Take care and God Bless.

DENNIS, TODD AND QUICK
REALLY DISHEARTENING TO HEAR THAT GUYS. I GUESS WE AND THEY ALL GO SOMETIME, BUT THAT MAKES IT NO EASIER. I HAVE SEEN ALOT OF THE TOP HOUNDS IN THE COUNTRY GO FOR THE LAST 30 + YEARS AND QUICK IS RIGHT THERE AT THE TOP OF THE LIST. TODD KELLAM, I HAVE HEARD OF THAT HAPPENING WITH A COUPLE DIFFERENT DOGS THAT HAD THIS PROGNOSIS. ONE LIVED ANOTHER 4 1/2 YEARS. THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT OVER THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER IN HOPES THAT THEY REACH YOU GUYS AND QUICK ON THE OTHER SIDE. <v>

Thoughts and prayers go out to the Feldermans. I will never forget the week before the zones in 2006 in Bevens holler. We all agreed that there was no way she was going to get beat that year and that we should just take the picture and get it over with. Two weeks later, there we were getting our picture taken in Tennessee. Memories last a lifetime and you got plenty of them with the old Quick dog. Some good, some bad. Just be glad that you have pups out of Quick and plenty out of Agile at your house yet. We should get the band back for one last picture. Right by the big tree along your lane.
so so sorry to hear this. the goods ones never last long enough. but they set the bar higher for the ones you get after they are gone and you never forget them!
you guys will be in my thoughts and prayers!!!
