24th ANNUAL SHRINERS EVENT

MARS HILL, NC
BENEFIT FOR SHRINERS CHILDREN HOSPITAL

OK Guys & Gals get ready for this event Oct 1 & 2, 2010
Oct 1 UKC Night Hunt 7:30 PM
Oct 2 Great Auction @ 11:00 AM Hunting supplies, Auto supplies,
Clothing, Gift Certificates, etc.
UKC Bench Show 4:00 PM
UKC Night Hunt 7:00 PM

Folks this is our 24th year to have this event, & it just keeps getting better & better.
Please come & support these children.
The Shriners are a great orginization to be associated with.
All proceeds go to the Shriners Children Hospital.

WE PLAN ON ATTENDING AGAIN THIS YEAR!

LOVE THIS HUNT GUYS! IT'S PUT ON BY A GREAT BUNCH OF PEOPLE AND IT'S FOR AN EXTRA SPECIAL CAUSE!

WE WILL PROBABLY COME AND SHOW AND HUNT SOMETHING. LOL. MAY GIVE OUR OLD FEMALE SUE ANOTHER SHOT AT IT! MAY HUNT SID JR AGAIN.

EVERY YEAR US STINGY OLE COON HUNTERS GET TOGETHER FOR A GREAT CAUSE! WE RAISE 1000'S OF DOLLARS FOR THE SHRINER'S EVERY YEAR!

THIS YEAR WILL BE NO DIFFERENT!

HEY DAVID, HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED, THAT IT WILL BE 90 DEGREES FOR WEEKS BEFORE THE HUNT, THEN TURN OFF TO BE BRRRRRR COLD THAT WEEKEND? LOL. WEIRD HUH!

STILL WILL BE FUN AND AMAZING! CANT WAIT! NOT MAKING ANY DEFINATE PLANS, BUT WE MIGHT COME TONIGHT TO HUNT TOO!

Shriners Bench Show

Christy,
I will check my confirmation sheet, but I do think $20 is right, We have some nice awards this year & I believe the club voted a $20 fee for hunts & show.
Remember, 100% goes to the Shriners Children Hospital.
The last couple years we had entry at $15.00 & most of the entrants gave $20.00 anyway.

I am even thinking about showing a dog, I can't believe I said that.

Re; You folks that read this board take note that Quincy & Christy donated a wood carving (Winner Choice of dog, etc) for the auction tomorrow, & if you search this board to see examples, you can see how nice they are. They are true craftsman quality & the best of animals I have ever seen.
If you are interested & can't be there I will take PM & E-mail bids up to 9:00 am tomorrow or call me before 11:00 am tomorrow

DAVID, QUINCY AND I ARE BRINGING A PORTFOLIO ON SOME OF HIS WOODBURNINGS TO SHOW OFF TO PEOPLE.

OR I COULD THROW TOGETHER A PAGE WITH SOME OF THEM ON IT THAT YOU COULD PRINT OUT AND TAKE WITH YOU TO SHOW THEM THE QUALITY.

Thanks to all, special thanks to Forks Of The River Coon Club from Brevard (They raised $6000 at their event)

Thanks to Lisa Beddingfield for judging the bench show, great job.
** BIG Thanks to all the unsung guys & gals who work so hard to make this special day a big success. Gary Cox worked his tail off as usual.
Appreciation to all the people & businesses who made donations & the people who came & opened their hearts & pocketbooks.
Thanks to all who entered dogs, entries were down a little this year, but we had a good time. The show went well (Kids show was a hoot)
Don Hill had the overall Shriners Show winner
The 2 nite hunts were good with all casts seeing coons,
Nathan Crane from Brevard won the honors of Shriners Champion.

That is so Awesome David....

We had a blast as usual and I really enjoyed judging the show.

The trophies were awesome as usual...

We had 11 dogs in the show...
3 Open males
3 Open Females
1 Champion Female
2 Grand Males
2 Grand Females

Don Hill from Roan Mtn, Tennessee was the overall show winner with

Hill's Little Blue Lonsome a Jr Male that won BOS Male and the Overall
Don recieved a$50.00 Gift Certificate from S&S Wholesale for the overall win.

And you are right the kids show was awesome.... The smile on a kids face is one thing that can never be forgotten!!!!

Thank you to everyone for all the hard work and so Glad that the totals were so awesome!!!

Sorry to say I had too many irons in the fire to participate as much as years past or as much as I would have liked, but your right David, Gary Cox worked like crazy.
