Tank or Todd

When there is a breed only hunt on thursday night at a hunt like at National Redbone Days, does the winners get points toward a degree. Just want to know.

Some do, some don't. You have to check the Upcoming Events List.

Todd -Did you read awfred's question thouroughly? Do dogs actually get UKC points in a hunt that is restricted to one particular breed?

Posted by Tank/UKC on 09-08-2003 03:03 PM:

He read the post.

Some all-breed hunts are hunted differently than others. At the Lee Crawford hunt at TWBFA days ALL dogs are hunted together regardless of degree. No championship points are awarded at these.

At Plott Days, the registered hunt together, nite ch. grntch etc. They DO receive championship points.

IF the Thursday night hunt is listed in COONHOUND BLOODLINES Upcoming events section it is licensed and you will receive points.

Tank-I was under the impression that when awfred asked about "breed only" hunts such as is at B/T days where only b/t's are hunted on Thurs. nite . There are no points awarded for this "breed only" event. In this case I thought this was his question. Then would there be a difference in a "breed only" hunt from an "ALL BREED" hunt as was referred to in your response?

When I say all-breed...

...I mean it as all-plott, all-walker, all-etc hunts. You do get points for those mentioned above.

Yours must be a "great mind". You DID make me understand. Thanks for your response. Some of us are just a little slow. I do appreciate this board, gives us "old f###'s" something to do in AM. We learn some things that we thought we already knew.
