Rules Question

This was brought up to me last evening and I really couldn't answer it, so I'm asking it here.

In a nite hunt, your dog opens up 2 times, you don't strike him, 20 - 30 minutes later, the dog opens up again. Do you have to strike your dog since it is his 3rd bark, or is it just like a whole new track and the 3 bark can be started over again? Since you didn't strike him on the other 2 barks earlier and now opens up for a 3rd time, is that considered 3rd bark, strike, or do you treat it as a whole new deal?

If it barks 3 times im gonna strike him because the dog better be struck on something by the 3rd bark or he can find a new home in my opinion.

was the first two barks within the first min.

if not why did you not strike it on the second bark and get minus on track for time between barks.

It didn't happen, it was just a question asked to me and I couldn't answer it. You don't have to strike on the second bark, you can, but you don't have to. Why take minus on a track, unless the dog barks 3 times.

There ya go! After the first minute of course. Doesn't matter if he made two barks then moves a mile. The next bark is considered the third bark unless time has been called. That should paint a clear picture. lol.

That is good to know. Sounds like a heck of an argument starter on first dump as to who's dog it was that bawld and was it the same dog that opened one more time an hour later but I am glad to know how it is.
