I have been Mixing 2 CC of Permetrin to 2 CC of Glycerin .. Then place the 4 CC between the Shoulder Blades, Been using it like this for several years now .. Use the same thing on the Wifes 20 Cats also ..

I believe the instructions on the lable says 1 part Perm per 100 parts water for dogs. ?

I have been mixing it in a squirt bottle and wet the dog with it as the instructions say. In heavy tick season ( may/june) , I usually do every 2 weeks , then as ticks thin out ( july/august) I cut it back to about once a month.

Always keep it out of the dogs face , eyes and mouth and avoid misting the air they breath.

I've had better luck with the Perm than I had with the BAYER because permithrin kills both ticks and fleas. The Bayer only worked on fleas for me and thinned ticks but didn't rid them..

I've been using perm for 2 years and thats my experiance with it. I've had NO side effects , but the dogs will roll around in the grass for a minute or two after its applied.

I've heard people say not to use Perm on dogs , but it is labled for dogs... Bayer Tree and shrub is not labled for dogs by the way.

I've heard of Premithrin being used as described above , by putting it down their backs with a few CC's , but I havn't tried it that way.... It might work though because Perm is in Advantix brand drops that are applied that way.

Well , that takes some math to get at the 1 part per 100 part. . In a hand-held bottle thats about a cap full. A little goes a long way... Check your math. lol My bottle is an empty Adam's flea spray bottle.

The Permithrin is the dirt cheap way to get rid a ticks/fleas.. I've not had any problems with either since using it.

2 CC on a 50# Dog .. Mine avj around 95#

The Glycerin really helps it hold on and Spread.. Cats I've been using 1 CC on .. and the Fleas Are gone in 24 hours..

With all the Hounds and the Wifes Cats all living together "With US" its very important to Keep the Fleas Away ..

Fleas Need Cat Blood as part of their Reproduction .. By what I heard..

LOL, the common flea is called a "cat flea" and they need a blood source in order to survive and reproduce. The adult flea feeds on the host blood.

I use to hate going to empty rental houses that previous renters had inside pets to do pest control on as those fleas were hurting for a blood source and you'd get covered up with fleas once you entered the house.
