first question? have you worked with your dog on the bench at home.
the biggest problem i have seen with a young dog on the bench is they have never been on a bench before. they do not know to stand, dot not lead well on ground,

when you pay your money is not the time to train your pup.

what the judge is looking for is in your breed standards.

I AGREE WITH THE ABOVE STATEMENT. PRACTICE PRACTICE AND PRACTICE SOME MORE. BUT DO IT A LITTLE AT A TIME, YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR PUP TO GET BORED WITH IT. THE GOOD ONES LOVE TO SHOW. AND YOU NEED TO BE COMFORTABLE ALSO.

DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED IF YOU DO NOT WIN AT FIRST. BUT IF YOU DO CONGRATS AND DO NOT EXPECT IT ALWAYS. JUST REMEMBER YOU ARE ASKING FOR ONE PERSONS JUDGEMENT OF YOUR DOG. THE NEXT JUDGE WILL SEE SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, MOST JUDGES LOOK AT FEET, LEGS TO BE STRAIGHT AND A GOOD ANGULATION OF BACK.

I WILL NOT GET INTO THE PROBLEMS WITH JUDGES AT SHOWS.
