how do i get rid of kennel cough i took my dog to vet and i think thats were he got it now 3 of the hounds have it any suggestions?

it will usually take its course, just need to watch for secondary infections..

You can give them 3 cc's of Penicillin G for three days, or just let it run it's course.

We just went through this. At our last show a dog was there that was coughing and before the end of the week. Almost all the dogs at the show had it and had passed it onto the rest of each persons other dogs. It is nasty stuff, sounds real bad. But my dogs only coughed for about a week and it was over. I just let it run it's course.

K/9 bronchititis, will run its course unless you put the dog under heavy stress. Could develope into pneumonia if that happens.

get the bordetella nasal injection every 6 months for all mine, even if they dont travel. dont want one bringing it back to them.

this doesnt prevent it, but can make it less worse - like the flu shot for humans.

well worth the money in my opinion
