If I take a good pup out of these cross's and bred them to each other what would I get?

you could single register them under wich ever breed that they meet breed standards. half breed jessie was half bluetick and half walker she done a ton of winning and her pups have done a ton of winning she was bred back to walker dogs.

Single register them when they're a year old and can tree a coon. Walker or Bluetick would depend on which they meet the breed standards for. Could possibly register them english also.

You'd have to SS sire the sire in order for him to be a SS sire, and reg pups PKC as crossbred. Since they can not be UKC reg till later on which then they'd be single reg they can not be performance pups.

they could be single reg aas blueticks but would take 3 generations to be PR

they are to compete in the programs themselves but like Son & Insane X he'd have to be payed up as a SS sire & Performance sire for that yr to have any litters off them.

IT WOULDN'T BE A BAD THING CAUSE IF YOU LOOK AT THE PKC MONEY EARNINGS THE WALKER DOG IS #1 AND CROSS BRED HOUNDS ARE #2 SO IF YOU WANT SOMETHING TO WIN IN PKC PROBALY A GOOD IDEA. I WOULD ALSO CONSIDER THAT THERES NOT NEARLY AS MANY CROSSBRED HOUNDS AS WALKERS AND FOR THEM TO BE SECOND WITH ONLY HALF AS MANY DOGS DOING THE WINNING THEN THERE MUST BE SOMETHING GOOD THERE.

Cross breeding good dogs is how they got better dogs in the first place. The reason I was thinking of it was that they are both way above average so far. Time will tell in the end but both have been earlie starters and when they start they just keep getting better so far. The only thing is the weakness I see in one is the others strong points and vise versa.
I know it isn't the financially smart thing to do but I am 52 and not rich yet. So I just thought it would actually help both breeds gene pool to have to draw from. I just don't know how many generations of the litters off spring being bred back to pure bred walker or bluetic before they chould be registered as pure again.
I have no dought they would be great pups and kick tail in comp.

ONCE YOU SINGLE REGISTER THEM IN UKC THEN BREED THEM BACK TO THE BREED YOU REGISTERED THEM IN THEN ALL YOUR LITTERS FROM THERE ON YOU CAN REGISTER YOUR LITTER. THATS HOW THE WALKER BRED BEGAN WAS WITH A SINGLE REGISTERED FEMALE. EVERY DOG COMES FROM A SINGLE REGISTERED DOG SOMEWHERE. THERE IS PEOPLE WHO WILL OPPOSE YOU AND SAY THESE HOUNDS ARE FULL BLOODED,PURE BRED, BUT THERES NO SUCH THING. WHEN I LOOKED INTO I WAS TOLD THE BEST CROSS WAS BETWEEN A WALKER AND BLUETICK. SO IF YOU HAVE THE TIME TO HAVE 4 OR 5 LITTERS TO GET A MARKET FOR YOUR PUPS THEN I'D SAY GO FOR IT. EVERYBODY IS HUNG UP ON A CERTAIN BRED AND STAYING INSIDE THAT BRED THAT NO ONE WILL HUNT THE PUPS. I SAY WITHOUT KENNEL CLUBS REGISTERING THE CERTAIN BREDS AND WE WE'RE JUST COON HUNTERS WE WOULD BREED COONDOG TO COONDOG AND WOULDN'T REALLY CARE SO MUCH ABOUT COLOR. THATS WHAT OUR ANCESTORS DONE TO GET US TO WHERE WE ARE NOW. THEY DIDN'T CARE WHAT COLOR IT WAS IT JUST NEEDED TO RUN GAME AND GET THE JOB DONE.

I don't know if I will make the cross or not. The male is just 1 year old and the gyp just 8 months. But if they turn out as good and like I think they will I will probubly make the cross. If coon hunters don't want them I will sell the ones I don't keep to big game guys. All they care is they can get the job done and do it fast. The ones I keep I will single redester and win money in the money hunts. They will get tired of it. LOL

I WOULD WAIT UNTIL THEY SETTLE IN A LITTLE BIT AND SEE WHAT THEY TURNED OUT LIKE. IF YOU COULD GET RID OF THEM TO THE BIG GAME GUYS THEN I'D SAY DO IT. Maybe should put out a bulletin that the mutt's your plannin to create outa puppies you have now are gonna be the end of some winnin money presumably in your area?

Sounds like you think you got them all wooped already Grady with unborn puppies outa puppies you got now. Some reality in the genetic's game may be in your future?
