Tailgate Adventures coming to Sportsman's Channel at the end of September 2010

Walkerton, IN - July 12, 2010 - Tailgate Adventures is pleased to announce that they will begin airing on The Sportsman's Channel beginning with Q4 of 2010. In response to multiple viewer requests to provide airing on cable networks, the producers of Tailgate Adventures have taken steps to secure air times on the fastest growing network related to devoted to hunting, fishing, and shooting.

"We are excited about this opportunity to bring the show to not only the satellite television market, but also a growing cable viewership as well." says Producer and host David Schmidt. "The opportunity to bring hound and tree dog hunting to not only our loyal viewers that may have cable, but to be able to introduce another whole segment of the sportsman population to the sport of hound and tree dog hunting is exciting."

TAILGATE ADVENTURES: Tailgate Adventures is a revolutionary television show, providing a unique perspective on hunting and the outdoors. For the first time; the prusuite of game with hounds and tree dogs is provided in depth coverage on a national stage. More than just another "hunting" show; it is a show that sets itself apart in many aspects. This show is not specifically about hunting; in fact many episodes do not even involve the killing of game. The pursuit of game with dogs normally leads to the game being bayed or "treed" somewhere, which leands itself to more of a "catch and release" format. Several episodes each season include the houndsmen/houndswomen bringing multiple family members and even children along. Since often times there are no animals killed, it becomes a family affiar. For more information about the show, visit http://tailgateadventures.com or become a fan on Facebook, Camospace, or Twitter.

Blackwater Pete - We understand what you're saying, but we had to start somewhere. The Sportsman Channel is a very solid network growing aggressively. Many consider them the number two network airing outdoor programming. We're excited about this transition.

Barry,

I'm not sure what channel they are on....I don't have direct TV, so I would suggest that someone else might be able to answer your question, or you could go to http://directv.com and look, or maybe even www.thesportsmanchannel.com.

Man thats awesome. Now I can finally watch it! U can bet Ill be tuning in or recording it. I love any kind of TV program, video, or book that has to do with hound hunting. Dont care what breed of dog, or if its coon. fox. coyote, or big game they're after. Im checking out ur website now. I didnt know about the Web videos. I really like the Sportsman Channel. Its a huge improvment over OLN. I like the Outdoor Channel but some of the shows on there dont interest me much. I love the Firearms shows but have grown weary of Deer & Turkey hunting and have never cared about watching anything to do with African game or high fence enclosure exotics hunting. Thanks for the new program guys. I wish u all the success in the world!

We'll re-launch 4th quarter, which starts the last week in September.

Posted by Daniel Evans on 07-18-2010 05:42 PM:

Cant wait, this is a great show!

Posted by deschmidt27 on 09-17-2010 02:31 AM:

For those with DishNetwork, but not the Top 250, Dish now offers the Sportsman Channel ala carte for just $3. So you won't have to upgrade your entire package just to watch hounds on TV.

World Hunt

Man, it would be cool if there was a way to record to world hunt. I would guess it would create to much drama though, I still cant wait to watch it.

Hey Dave, is there any chance of airing season 1 reruns? I missed most of last season and would love to be able to catch some reruns sometime.

Posted by Larry Atherton on 09-17-2010 03:22 PM:

You can get a DVD of last season through one of the shows sponsors FnT.

As Larry said, about the only way to see those re-runs is to purchase the DVD box set.

You can order them at http://tailgateadventures.com or http://fntpost.com

We have 13 new and exciting episodes coming this season.....

10 days and counting!

Never ask a man what kind of dog he has. If he has a hound he'll tell you, if he does not, you don't want to shame him by asking.
