A friend trapped this last winter just north of here. They grow these things big in these parts..

Poor thing, I hate seeing tree game stuck in traps.

I've treed a couple of those around here. It's not a fun experience at night! Nice pic Randy!

Mike - I never was big on traps or trapping. I got lucky a couple of years ago with a beagle caught in one. The fellow that trapped this cat had the male beagle my dog was out of. Bob is one of the best in the area. I have never heard of Bob getting a dog in his traps and he checks his traps daily.
Joe - I've been lucky. I haven't run one in 25 years. Tree...get close to the tree....and the chase was on again......after about 6 or 7 trees I was able to finally catch the dog....after several hours. That was in the Tionesta area.

I hear ya Randy... my 1st chase was like that... 4-5 miles and 25 trees later, the pups were worn out! lol

Not long after that I got into the tree without the light on and the cat jumped out as I was putting the leash on the dog.

The 3rd one happened right here on the farm. Dog began running track and soon enough Mr. Kitty crossed the trail right in front of me. Needless to say, when Belle crossed behind him, that was the last cat she ever ran! lol and that was about 2.5 years ago! Thank GOD!

Take care...
