A thought.......

Have any of ya'll ever thought that if someone is going to single register a hound they either be spayed or neutered, and then be allowed to be single registered?

I had a extremely nice female that someone had given to me when she was obviously a young hound (less than 1 year old). I trained her and she made a coondog, and I mean all coondog, but you know I never would breed her. I gave to her a young man who had gotten a dog run over, and the only condition to me giving her to him was that he could not breed her and sell the puppies as registered dogs. That has been 3 years ago and that young man has kept his word and has never bred her.

I had the female single registered, and that was just so I could competition hunt her (never did though).
