? About Hunt Director Format

Under the Hunt Director format if there is a ? mark put on the card does the person with the question give the judge $20 right there in the woods? Or does the $20 go to the Hunt Director when the casts come back?

This is a good question because I have seen HD's try to refuse a question because the money was not deposted in the woods and that is wrong. Rule 18(b)-4 states "For HD events, $20.00 must be deposited with the HD before the panel will hear question." Obviously since the HD is not in the woods, you cannot deposit the money in the woods.

It's funny Jim because with this hunt director format half the clubs are saying to give it to the judge and the other half are saying to give it to the hunt director. I personally would rather place the question on the scorecard walk in with the judge and put my 20 bucks down. I think it is shady to start passin money around in the woods.

Jim I just looked it clearly says in the rulebook to deposit with HD
