ohio public hunting?

I can't find it in the book, when is the last day you can run hounds on public hunting land? Is this no longer a law? I cant find anywhere where it says anything about public closing anymore!

I believe it is May 1st through August 31st. However, The term (Public hunting) can be mis leading (I believe). Wayne National which is federal Land is public hunting, but I believe you can still run your hound on this property. State Public hunting is (I believe) a different story whereas you cannot run from May through August.

Please don't take my word as offiial but I yhink it is something like that

Next time I am at our family farm.I will let you know.We have plent of ground to run hounds on.

wildlife areas are closed from may 1st till august 31st unless it is a dog training area which wll be marked by signs.

The dog training areas only work for bird dogs. Rabbits and coons don't stay inside the signed off boundaries which are usually relatively small.
