YOU NEED TO BE GETTING A LIST OF WHAT YOUR CITY COUNCEL AND COUNTY COMMISONERS ARE GOING TO BE VOTING ON. EACH SECTION WE ARE UNDER FIRE IN NORTH CAROLINA WITH HUNTING RULES AND REG AND DOG OWNER RULES AND REGS. YOU CAN STOP IT BEFORE IT GET A START IF YOU KNOW IT AND RALLEY TOGEATHER AS A SENCEABLE GROUP AND APPROCH IT IN A PROF WAY.

I am on my counties Animal Service Advisory Committee. Any type of animal change goes through us first before it goes to the commissioners.

Alot of counties have these type of the committees and they meetings are open to the public.

GET INVOLVED!!! You will not regret your involvement I promise!!!

To find your local county website you might start at www.naco.org. You can do a search there to find your county website.
Most counties publish an agenda prior to county commisioner meetings (but this is NOT all inclusive as citizens can bring outside items to the meeting). They also publish minutes of what was discussed after the meeting. I suggest you make your home county and any county you hunt in a favorite website to visit once monthly.

- Regarding the written permission rules that are going around; we oppose this restriction, and request that you oppose it at your local meetings if it comes up, but those in counties that already have it have thus far been able to guide casts by having their written permission say "John Doe and party has permission", the cast would be your "party". However many landowners are reluctant to give written permission due to possible legal implications in the event you or someone with you is injured on their property.

richmond county's is NOT updated and the agenda nor minutes are published. I have spoken to them and contacted them about this. usually, "its in the paper" but I dont get the paper.

HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR LOCAL WILDLIFE RESOURCE COMMISSIONER HE IS POLICIALY CONNECTED OR HE WOULD NOT BE ON THE WILDLIFE COMMISION THEY CAN HELP.

I have some North Carolina Sporting Dog Association membership application at the store for who ever needs them. Everyone that hunts with a hound should be a member, they lobby for your rights.

The Appalachian Houndsmen Association works very closely with the NC Sporting Dog Assoc. They make sure we know what is going on in Raleigh and over the state.

i'm gonna join and hope many more do as well. i recently heard, though the wildlife club i belong to, that the authorities, who ever they are, want to stop people from walking through the croatan forest with their dog unless it's on a lease. they're concerned the loose dogs will molest young turkeys as thoug the fox, coyotes, coons and possums don't. once again, yet another restriction. don't they have enough to do?

I GOT MY COPY OF THE MIN FROM THE WRC MEETING KEEP IN TOUCH WITH YOUR WRC COMMINSOR. HE HAS A LOT OF INFULANCE WITH THE HOUSE AND SENT ON SOME OF THE LAWS WHEN IT IS GOING TO TAKE REVN FROM THE STATE ENCO.THIS IS SOMETHING THAT NONE OF THE ELECTED OFFICAL WANT IS TO GO ON RECORD FOR TAKING MONEYS FROM THE STATE ECON.
