Parvo??????
Need some help! I had a good friend who has a 7 mo old female that started throwing up blood yesterday and she passed away this morning. The crazy thing is that she had all of her shots 6,8,10,12 wk parvo shots.. What else could she have died from..Thanks
Did she just vomit or was there bloody diarrhea as well. There are some strains of parvo that are pretty aggressive. She may have gotten into something also.
coccidosis (sp?) has similar symptoms

Yeah, coccidiosis and parvo seem to affect the lower gut. Wouldn't be throwing up. Well parvo, they can't keep stuff down but thats immediately after it goes in, don't even have time to get bloody. Maybe broken glass?
Was she fed bones? Sounds like a perforated stomach.

Parvo?
She never had any diarrhea. She was fine yesterday and late last night she was lying on the kennel throwing up some blood. I called the vet today and they said it might be a stomach parasite or wormers.
sounds like something she ate or maybe a twisted gut or obstruction.
