Petfinder?

Ok, so I have a theory and just want to see if it's right...

In the past 7 years I have attempted to place 5 ad's on Petfinder.com Of those 5, 3 were for hounds, 1 for a boxer, and 1 for a yorkie. Of those ad's only the ones for the boxer and the yorkie were posted, and the other 3 were rejected.

Now, had someone tell me today they tried to place an ad for a female hound on petfinder.com, a family pet and porch dog, and it was rejected. See a trend here?

Now, petfinder supposedly rejects ad's from breeders, but when I went there today I say MANY ad's from the same people advertising pure-bred dogs with papers, with adoption fees of several hundred dollars... sounds like breeders to me. Then I searched the local shelters for my area, and the "non-profit" shelter in Mcminnville has at least a dozen ad's for designer dog "adoptions" with an adoption fee of $350 each! Now, I can do simple math and SOMEONE is making a profit there. Didn't see not ONE hound on the classifieds for my state.

Just wondering how many others have experience with Petfinder and if you have had any luck posting a hound?

Looks like they're in bed with the anti-hunting campaign to me. Let's see if I'm right! Feedback appreciated...
