sport dog (no bark)

i needed to invest in some collars today, my dogs are barking hoarse from all the amish traffic.. i always used tri tronic bark collars but cabelas were out of them, so i bought 3 sportdogs..anyone use these before, and do they work OK?

The answer is in your own post. You have to wonder why they are out of the Tri tronics and not others. I've heard the sportdogs were junk. But never had one.

NEVER OWNED A TRITRONICS, BUT HEARD THEY ARE THE BEST IN THE BARK COLLAR DEPT. I HAVE HAD PRETTY GOOD LUCK WITH THE INNOTEKS THAT TAKE THE GARGE DOOR OPENER TYPE BATTERY. THEY ARE $54.00 AT ANY FARM AND FLEET, THEISEN'S AND SOME WALMARTS CARRY THEM. I HAD ONE REHARGABLE INNOTEK THAT WAS $74.00 BUT IT DIDN'T LAST LIKE THE BATTERY OPERATED ONES DO. GOOD LUCK WITH THE SPORT DOGS. DID YOU BUY THE WARRANTY DEAL THAT THEY SELL AT THE CHECK OUT FOR MOST OF THE PRODUCTS THAT CABELA'S CARRIES? PRETTY GOOD DEAL IN MOST CASES. <v>

well i brought a dog home sat nite and he was in the kennel for four days with a sport no bark collar on before the wife knew he was in the back yard. so i would say mine is working lol

ya perry, i got the cabela warranty..that makes me feel a little better about buying them..lol

Dave, I recently bought one of those as well cuz they didn't have the Tri-tronics model's in stock.

Had one before that worked great till I left it hooked to the kennel to low & it got chewed to peice's.

Have had this one for maybe a month & the dial knob to adjust the intensity has already fell off of it !

Bobby Disch has tested them all numerous times & he swear's he'll never buy another unless they are Tri Tronic's. You can order them online,Cabelas never has them in stock.

Maybe you need'ta put the remote conrol juice on them walkerdawg's if their that trashy ?

russ, the ones i bought have no dial for intensity, the more they bark, the intensity rises automatically..so far they are keeping quiet..

Never used the sport dog no barks but the Dogtra no barks are a pretty good unit have had good luck with mine.

have had petsafe (made buy sportdog), tritronics, and Dogtra. The petsafes last no longer than about a couple of months. The tritronics lasted only to the first battery change. The battery clips broke. Had them soldered back on and they broke again. The dogtra ys 500 has been far superior.

I have a Tritronics and a sportdog.The Tritronics only lasted 14 months.The Sportdog is at least 5 years old and still works great.

I love Tri-Tronics Trashbreakers but did not like Tri-Tronics bark collars at all, mine quit once under warrenty then just past the warrenty the second time the switch quit working.
