Alright UKC is it time to hold your own National Championship? Since your world is in September hold it in April.

Start it on a Thursday night. Elimination hunt, pre entries up to 500! How a dog would qualify I dont know, maybe 3 cast wins per year.

id like to see a hunt between all the current top reproducers, it would be hard to do it because of the risk, but it would prove whats what.

They already have what you have described. It is called the World Hunt.

I guess I would like to see more elimination style hunts in UKC.

So would I. But I'm not expecting any more.

I think they are going to be pushed to hold more elimination hunts. The others are turning alot of people off.

I have no issue with holding elimination events. I think they are great. My only issue is how many events we, UKC, administer ourselves each year. We can only do so much with the staff we have and keep in mind I have four other programs to administer as well. You want a total elimination format that goes beyond the two-round structure like the Slams? Let's get Allen working on that! lol

Maybe not even elimination type hunts. More like the grand american where you take the top 4 scores from 2 day hunts and hunt for an overall winner.

Just thoughts

The thought of elimination makes every cast on an even playing field .Not everyone can get dropped in a honeyhole and score 2000. Any time you are taking the top scores it is not even.

JMO. A dog that wins a hunt where cast winners advance gets alot more respect for the win from me.

Only 44, bet lots of people wish they were in Indiana now.

Maybe UKC cant have a hunt like this. Seems like a lots of hunt are getting low attendance numbers; but then again walker and B&T days didnt have problems drawing nice crowds.

i think ukc should make age catagories like pkc... hunt you own age class... hunt young with young an old with old,,,,,,only fair way to do cause all other sports mainly by age
