33 lbs in central michigan, never got it back from the taxidermists, would have made a nice rug

never weighed them but they were nice.
man demondog!! i was gunna say them are absolutely huge looking at the size of the coon compared to the blue dog...then i seen the guys foot..kinda put things in perspective...must be a pup or real small blue dog...
ive never weighed a coon...the biggest hide ive seen was here in PA..it went over 4ft tip of the nose to base of the tail (or maybe end of the tail but im pretty sure the tail was on the ground..)...thats case skinned...
we dont shoot hardly any down anymore...
I got one this year that was 23 pounds thats pretty big for around here.

BIGGEST COON
33 Pounds killed 6 years ago in Kenova, West Virginia one of the best hunts I was ever on.
biggest coon
I live trapped one from a friends back yard bird feeder. 33lbs.
The local fur buyer was going to get it tanned for me, and I never got it back. Sold my hides to him for 6 yrs before that, never been back.
I have a hide from a 30lb. coon in the freezer, waiting to be tanned. I am located in western Wisconsin.
Killed two about the same size, 24 lbs. One in Madrid Alabama, one in Jacob Florida. The one in florida was extremely fat, probably on someone's feeder. The one in Alabama was just plain big with a huge head.

Never weighed any but the longest one I measured was 56 1/2 inches from nose to tip of tail, case skinned. Had another at 54. Both in NE Iowa.

In Texas in 1968, I killed one that weighted 32 lbs. Biggest coon I ever saw in Texas. Pulled him out of a hollow with barbed wire. Four big Blueticks had more coon than they could handle.
In Kansas in 1987, I got 11 in one night, one of them weighted 34 and another one weighted 31. That was one great night of hunting. Started at dark and was still going strong when the sun came up. Wish I could still hunt like that. A picture of all 11 coons and the dog that treed them is on page 102 of the 2009 BBCHA Bluebook.
