breeding question
we breed our female on feb 4th she has milk but still no puppies could this have been a false pregnancy.
The way I count 63 she was due yesterday. Could just be a couple days late or could be false pregnancy. If yor concerned take to the vet have her x-rayed
breeding
we have only had this dog since we bred her is it very expensive to have an exray done thinking about trading her off but if she could still have puppies dont want to loose them. all of our dogs are sackett bred and just wanted pups out of our old dogs before they get to old to hunt.
I am working off memeory it is usually 40- 60 bucks with the office visit included. I do it with every litter before and after, to have an idea how many.Would also rule out any dead ones that may cause an infection.Call the local vet they will tell you total cost I am sure it can widely vary.
Ultrasound is the best way to tell. It costs $50.00
Same thing happen to me. No pups and she still bagged up.
KG
You cannot get an accurate number with sonogram.Sonagram is used earlier in pregnancy, because the pups cannot withstand an x-ray.It is basically a pregnancy test, but at this stage you might as well get a xray to get a close number if she is pregnant.
I had x-rays taken of my dogs head 3 weeks ago, it was $35 an x-ray...but if the female is on day 60 of being bred, there should be no doubt as to whether she is bred or not...
