Bill Brubaker
I know most of you who are into redbones probably known my grandfather Bill Brubaker. For awhile I have been searching to know what happened to his dogs and his belongs. Not entirely sure what my grandmother told me was true but we weren't allowed on the property to retrieve his belongs or his truck that was on the property. That was about 2 years ago.
I just looking to get back mostly family photos that my grandfather had and he had a military year book from when he was in army as a paratrooper.
I been worried about his dogs. I know I didn't come to many shows as I got older, his partner started high school and got into college. I hope after college I can go coonhunting with one his dogs that were from his breed line.
And if you couldn't guess. It's Brittany Brubaker. His granddaughter.
Anyone? Even little stupid details would be nice. Something please.

I knew Bill Brubaker from several years ago. He had some really nice redbones - I think I have pictures of a few of them. He was always at the Jackson club events when we used to attend.

Brittany I tried to find out what happened to them myself when I heard of his passing,I know the male dog died ,this is the one with the two first place wins ur pap really liked him, I spent a good bit of time with him his last couple years at the coonhound events.Larry Sullivan might know something, I will ask him when i run across him at a hunt, I do not know his # or I would give it to you. I think he lives in Tioga county. Glad to hear ur in college would make him proud for sure. PM me if I can help u.
I find somethings out. Now that i'm in college and cant have dogs I missed going to those shows. i'm always talking about coonhunting here on campus. they explain what redbones are. then asking if they read where the red fern grows. ahh. i drew a picture for my pop when he passed.
i think i remember you bill. and larry. its been so long i hope i remember the right people.

Didnt he establish temporary residence at the jackson coon club clubhouse some members should have info...
He did, but then moved to Benten in his later years. Leon Robbins might have some answers for you too, but I don't have his number either. I talked to Jim Petro last evening and he couldn't help much, lots of rumors, but whether their true or not, he doesn't know.
Brittany, call me anytime you need to talk, I have a lot of good stories I can tell you about him.

I been email tons of people about the dogs and the SPCA about them. Just want make sure there okay and if anyone of his friends or fellow hunters have his dogs I appreciate them being taken in by them.
It's sad that it took me two years of looking to get answers that I'm slowly getting. I just pray that family photos weren't destroyed. I only have a few pictures of him.
