Underground Fence~AKA Invisable Fence

Anyone use one?

I was considering this rather then fencing since I don't own my property.

I want to be sure they would be OK ~ supervised and kennel at night.

Be blessed.

I have heard that too.

they say they are 99.5% safe.....I have one that would prove them to be 99.4% I think......

Sounds like she trained you well.......ask her to send me instructions. Mine are easy. They're just hounds.

I have to labs and it keeps them in the yard rather well. Just follow the directions on how to train them. If they get close to boundry and beep sounds on collar they will turn themselves inside out trying to get to front porch. Will not keep other dogs out of your yard. These two no where the boundaries are and they patrol it constantly. Hounds stay in kennel. We also put the collars on them every time they go out. We tried it without the collars and it works also, just gives us a piece of mind.

They work good for the people that has them in like a half acre and they say the flags supplied in the kit is the visual marker to train them with . They say a smaller area is easier to train them in which makes sense to me.

I'm planning to run one around five acres of hardwood and the way I hope to train them is by running the wire along the outside edge of a freshly disked up strip.

The salesman said he felt sure one unit would cover the distance, but being a good salesman, two units going in opposite directions would surely work. Little does he know I can get the wire for free.

The sales lady called last night and she said the same thing about the smaller area. That is all I need to have done anyway. I am going to let her come out and give me her quote. I know I could get the stuff to do it myself, but I would feel better knowing I talked to someone first

I know my pup would be fine. My male has been trained by "the boggyman" so he knows what the beep means. My older female.....she is a coon dog. She'll be my problem. The critters around the yard will drive her insane! I would hate to loose any of them to the road......hard thing to deside! I want to do them right and keep them safe.

Thanks so much for the input!

Good luck. I don't know if I could make myself trust it. I like fences but I know it's more expensve and dollars don't come easy! Some places won't even let you put up a fence.
