As you all may know this saturday April 3rd is the red hunt in hebron. We hope you all can make it for the show and hunt.
if you didnt know there are some nice prizes this year for the overal hunt and show winners we have a nice dog box some belt lights and some show benches. So slap the dust off ol smokey and head on down.

Polish up "Barney" or maybe it's time to bust out "Miss She Want's Her Picture Takin",that young prospect onto the scene you been spending alot of time with ?

Howz dat old saying go, "CAN'T WIN IF'N YA DON'T ENTER"............I think?

Been a lot of time devoted to these event's by several people with the intention's of regaining interest in the WCHA'S "Red,White & Blue Classic Series". Lets support their effort & keep in mind it is a cheritable event capped off in March every year with a "MUST ATTEND" banquet !

3 cast wins,wins it all!!!!!!!!!!.

the proposal was made to the board :that if adog won its cast at all three events it would be crowned the OVERALL HUNT WINNER .If there is more than one three cast winner,the three cast winning dogs would have a hunt off to determine the overall winner.IF NO 3 CASTWINNERS:then all dogs that won their cast with plus points would qualify for the championship at the end of the year.
WHAT DO YOU THE MEMBERS WANT???
Keep in mind all High Scoring Breed winners will be decided on the # of cast wins.

not exactly-

If there are multiple 3 cast winners, the proposal is that the top 16 qualified dogs are invited to the finals.

The breed winners would be decided in the same format as in the past. Not necessarily the dog with the most cast wins.

For instance, if a championship hunt was forced and there were 2 blueticks in the top 16 and only one of them confirmed entry the night of the finals- that dog would be the winner, regardless of how many cast wins he had.

thanks Jay, those pics bring back a LOT of good memories. I like that one of Romeo and Lee Walker. That was back in his helmet hair days and before he got his new set of chompers. Romeo was all coon dog.

I've got a giant box of pictures we should go thru some time. They go to show how many of the all time great coonhounds of all breeds that have walked the halls of the Red, White, and Blue. I believe this will be our 23rd year. I hope we can all pull together and continue to make this thing bigger and better.

When "Toad" won it it was the inaugeral year. At that time there was 60 dog's or more at each hunt & sometime's two cast's of GrNt's. At the ski joint by Iola up 'nort' dare a peice ya know.

We rode Kent McClellen,John Cossman,Rick Tomter & myself all four in the cab of "Old Red" to all three event's. To those of ya that know us do ya think we could get that much beef in the front seat of a new truck ? Them old truck's had cab room but it was still a lil on the tight side. Good thing she had a three on the tree !!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was told there was some "Bludawg's" doin their fair share of winnin ?
