Hustlers pride and hustlers angel

Anyone no anything about either one or how they were bred

Posted by on 03-29-2010 04:25 PM:

They were winners!

Pride was off of a Bad Company (littermate to Hardwood Maniac). Not sure on his bottom side.
Angel was off of Wild Casey and I think a Swift Creek Magnum female.
I've heard nothing but good things about both these dogs and I know there are some Wisconsin boys still hunting dogs based off Pride & Angel.

Posted by josh on 03-29-2010 06:59 PM:

Angel also won walker days in 99.

Pride was Matney's Southern Pride on the bottom.
Pride was a nice dog, was bred quite a bit for a dog in this country but never reproduced much other than when bred to angel....I believe there were 3 litters, I dont think she was ever bred to anything else.

What do you have out of this stuff?

Posted by ronald schultz on 03-29-2010 08:16 PM:

i think she won red.white/blue??

not the biggest hunt but still a combined wins required thing and some good dogs to beat... i was in the woods twice with her i believe and if i have the right name one of the only dogs i remember well of,,, was maybe hunted by a man by the name of johnson??

Pride was out of Bad Company and William's Lucky. Angel was out of Wessel's Wild Casey and Banks Ohio Screamer.
Angel won Walker Days in 99 and also the Red White and Blue. The year Angel won Walker Days her pups Easy and Digger also placed in the top 10 or so.
Easy was a 2 x pkc st. champ and the 2002 ukc nitehunt dog of the year.
I'm currently hunting a female that goes back to Pride and Angel on both sides. Grandparents on top and g-grandparents on bottom. Last summer I breed her to Hardwood Timber who is out of Northridge Lucy and Medley's hardwood Swamp.Lucy was out of Pride and Angel also.
If you want anymore info let me know, I hunt with Todd a couple times a week.

Jimmy

I owned the bitch that Jimmys female is out of , she was out of my Grand Night Bluff Country Thunder dog and a Pride x Angel female . She was called Nite Champion Bluff Country Sweetie . I bred her back to a Pride x Angel male named Nite Champion Hustlers Ringo . I own a male littermate to Jimmys female named Nite Champion Hustlers Foreman . A friend of mine also has a littermate female . These dogs and the Pride x Angel dogs are some of the best dogs that has ever come out Minnesota and Wisconsin . They are also probably the most overlooked dogs as far as breeding goes also . I guess people would rather run to the ends of the earth breeding to old so and so's dog instead . To each his own , JMO . I also owned Pride as a puppy , I sold him to Clint Colburn for 25$ and a steak dinner . Man was he ever a coon treein sucker as a young dog and only got better from there .

The picture is Easy with Todd Forsythe and Blaine Schroeder. Easy was a force in his day, to bad he couldn't breed. I had him put down about 2 yrs. ago.
We hunted Foreman with One quite a bit until Todd sold him. There was also 1 more male in that litter but I don't know what happened to him.

I give that male to Blaine , I called him Timber . I didn't like some of the things he did . I heard he became a little rough around the edges . I think he was culled .

Can any of you guys share some info on the Timber dog in the pedigree below. I beleive he is Oklahoma now not sure though. My dog Frank is out of him. He is not perfect , but he competes well in all cast and gets alone alot we are still he will be a ntch soon in very few UKC hunts.

I guided a cast with Kurt Franke had another litermate female but she was pretty young at that time.
Back in the day everyone wanted to hunt with Easy but no one wanted to hunt against him. Seriously, heads would drop when cast were called out.
I never hunted with Pride or Angel but hunted Easy a lot for Todd. Also hunted with Hannah, Lucy, and Digger at quite a few hunts.
At 1 time in about 2002 4 of the top 5 pkc state leaders were out of Pride and Angel.

Looks like angel; and Lucy were both pretty good reproducers.

There was also Podolls shotgun Annie, that placed 5th at the UKC world hunt....Im thinking all of the Pride and angel dogs are gone now, anyone know differently?

Posted by jimmy on 03-30-2010 11:47 PM:

I think there are 2 or maybe 3 dogs left out Pride and Angel that I know of.
Timber is in Waterloo IA. I bred my nt.ch. Hustler's The Other One to him last spring and had 5 pups. They are 8 mons. Showed mine thier first coon yesterday.
If you want to find out more on him I can get you in contact with the guys that trained him and hunted him. His is a prp sire again this year.

Erik,
I hunted with Frank in a buddy hunt a couple years ago when Chad still owened him. He did a nice job and beat me, mine treed and left and he treed on his own and stay with a coon.
He's a real nice looking dog too.

He would have been a youngun then I think he turned 3 in November. So far I like him he is not perfect, but will flat tree them coons. We are still sharpening up on some things , but right now he's a keeper.

Ya, he was pretty young then but did good.
What happened to the rest of the litter? Thought I heard that the 2 females got shot on a tree in OK but haven't heard nothing lately.

I'm not sure what happened to the littermates. I should have called him Second hand frank he bounced through a couple of hands before i got him, but as of now i'm proud to have I got a heck of a deal on him for what he does. His biggest strike against him is not being performanced or SS.
