Walking awayfrom treed dog?
If there is a dog treed 10 yards in front of you is it ok to walk away from or should you stay put and wait.
tree it and ask to tie it back so you can goto the other dogs...
not sure how that works with the 5 if the other dogs arent treed...but if they are split, you can ask the judge if you can tie your dog back since its closer...
my dog does it about once a hunt and i goto her tree with someone tie her back, the other person sees what tree she is on...we goto the other tree, shine it, score it and then go back to mine..
but if the 5 isnt up, and the other dogs arent treed, i dont think you can handle them...and the other guys will want to get away to hear their dogs....so might not be much you can do except hope your dog stays the remainder of the 5
I know you are supposed to split the distance if all dogs are on trail, but I am not sure what the thing to do is with the five running on a dog treed that close. Walking away when they are that close puts alot of unecessary pressure on a dog.
