Bright Eyes Head

I know there have been several topics on these but I cant remember reading if the LED head by bright eyes or the G2 can adjust the beam. I dont like the real tight led beam like most do. Im trying to decide which one I want. Thanks

They both have a non-adjustable some what tight beam.
I guess the old Pro Head bar is what your looking for.

I have bright eyes one ,I was worried about the tight spot but ,it s not to tight and has nice outer ringer so u dont get tunnel vis.
just a bit heavier than a 5100 head

Ok thanks alot. I think you are right. That was my next option was the Pro Head.

I've had the Pro head for over a year now & love it. I know it would be nice in the winter time when no leaves are on the trees to be able to light it up like daylight but when the leaves are on I never want to light up the tree on high. My main concern is to have plenty of clear light to walk through the woods with. I thought about buying one of these new lights but then I ask myself just how much light do you need. The Pro head is plenty bright & I like a wide area of light when I'm walking.

Just got one in today for a budy and found out the brighteyes light doesn't work on a older cajun belt light unless you switch the polarity of the light. But they are pretty nice.

Gene I heard that a lens for the 5200 style or 5100 style (which ever is the smaller head) works on them but I dont know that for fact. How is yours on low shining? Is the beam real tight? Im not wanting the real tight beam.

I LOVE MINE but it is going to BE A PAIN if there are NO POP COVERS THAT FIT IT... bugs will be tuff...

do they have one yet?

That could be quite a gesture of goodwill. I would like to know if that happens. That could be a first step in restoring my confidence in Brite Eyes.

I don't have a Bright Eyeys light but the guys at the club meeting last Sunday were talking about the new Bright Eyes head shutting their Garmin off. Any one else had that problem?

Posted by Robert Johnson on 03-26-2010 12:36 PM:

The Bright Eyes Head will not shut your Garmin off. It will, If the dog is 300-400 yards away, and you turn the head wide open with a 21 volt power pack, cause some interference while on high, but 1 click back down the scale, and it reaquires quickly. I really see no problem with it doing this. Common sense tells me that my Garmin has a back light, and when i need to use it, it lights it up very well for me. I know that if i turn on the led head wide open and try to look at my Garmin screen, there is way to much reflection to be able to see it. In essence, there is no problem at all with either piece of equipment, and they will both work very well when used hand in hand. These above observations are mine, and mine only, from experience, and use in the field.
