score cards?

what can you do if ukc doesn't send enuff cards with the hunt packet??

Well at our AKC hunts we use PKC cards if we run out. At our PKC hunts we use UKC cards if we run out. So I guess if you run out of UKC cards, you should use AKC cards.

Funny. I used to use AKC cards as spares in UKC hunts when I had a stockpile of AKC cards. Now AKC doesn't send more than 3 cards for our 1 hour hunts and we use them all and no longer have spares for hunting in bad weather or for buddy hunts.

I'm not so sure the registries would appreciate this, but in my opinion, if the registry doesn't send enough cards for the hunt, before the hunt the club should go to Kinko's or where ever and get copies made. Subtract the cost from the registry's license fee.

I can appreciate them going green or whatever trying to cut back on paper, but have you ever heard of a club complaining about getting too many scorecards? I haven't. Extra cards can always get put to good use for spares when hunting in bad weather, buddy hunts, or with UKC cards many new hunters ask for a copy just to learn the rules.

Dave I'd bet if you'd email or call UKC and explain you're event will probably draw more dogs than they expected, they'd get some more mailed out to you right away. They might show up in time for your hunt Saturday.

well we have no spare cards, looks like wet conditions this weekend. we have drew close to sixty dogs before at our first hunt of the yr. they sent enuff for 48 dogs..guess i'll have to round some up some way..can i legally make copies of ukc score cards?

i pm allen yesterday to send some old cards for our club hunts..if he got the message and sends them out i'll be alright!!! he hasn't replied back!!

Had to do that for our first buddy hunt. It worked, but we got a bunch donated so we are set for a while. Last hunt, one cast lost their card first drop and used a Bush Lite box to replace. YOU KNOW YOUR A REDNECK IF YOU USE A BEER BOX FOR A SCORE CARD.

That happened to our club once, I took one to a local office supply store(Officemax or Kinko's) and they made copies almost the same size, on cardboard stock, they looked like the real deal no one could tell the diffence except my wallet (it cost me ~$1 a piece)
