LED heads HELP needed

I am looking into getting a new LED head don't know what to get the G2 or the bright eyes. A buddy has the g2 and it is a good head does the bright eyes have a tighter spot or not and is it any brighter. I would like to get the best light that i can for the money. Thanks for any help

bright eyes has a tighter spot, and is brighter. I believe, my opinion, it is better built, and will last longer. bright eyes is the best on the market right now..again....my opinion.

I watched a new G2 completely bury a new BrightEyes last weekend. The G2 was much brighter. And the rheostat on the G2 along with the click switch on the battery control gives infinate brightness from full power to none.

hey jim

how many volts is the g2 and what is the cost? can you use it on different voltage batteries?

Posted by da.wells on 03-15-2010 05:33 PM:

the G2 is just the head name,

you can use from a 17v light up to a 28v
it will work on most lights with no modifications.

yes the G2 is Brighter with a lower lumen rating

g2 head

how much does it cost?

I can't say anything good or bad about any other brand of light. I can tell you that I love my SmartLight. Wow lightest thing I have ever worn, plenty bright, throws a good spot. I bought the spotlight that you can buy with it, but I have only actually needed it twice. All that and the fact that you cannot beat the price, I love it. Gary Miller will treat you right.

I have a bright eyes head and have hunted with 3 different people using a G2 head and I do not believe what you typed. I've shined my head side by side with the G2's and I can't see a difference in brightness.

thanks for all the advice and info Iam getting both sides of the fence sounds like both are great lights.my only ? now is if the bright eyes can be drawn to a tighter spot. thanks again

Well Mr Singletary, I don't own either at this time, my head still has a bulb in it. I have seen two G2's and one BrightEyes. When they were compared side by side, the G2 was definately brighter than the BrightEyes irreguarless of whatever you want to believe.

I read on here somewhere that nycooner has both the G2 head and the Brighteyes head and he said there is no difference in brightness between the two run off his 28v belt light.
As far as I'm concerned both are bright heads built by two reputable manufacturer's, either way, I don't think you could go wrong with either head.

Yes it makes a difference. One of them plugged into a 17v will not be as bright as one plugged into a 21v.

I ordered me a Lightning the other day and got the package. It will all be new. The next hunt I go to I will have a show down with a new G2 with new battery if I can find one and give yet another opinion.

I do sell the G2 but that doesnt mean a thing,

I have no problem telling you that the G2 is brighter, but the bright eyes consturcion is outstanding, and very professional.

i have compared the two of them side by side and the g2 is brighter.

i have absolutely no reason to lie or hype up anything.
i dont even have any g2 in stock so it doesnt help me any!

Upgradable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Bright Eyes White Lighting Head is SUPER BRIGHT......................................... PERIOD I cant say that it is the brightest on earth, but I can say for use of shining Mr. coon up the tallest of trees in my area it is going to do a fantastic job. Its very bright, it adjustable with click position on battery and rheostat on the head for a wide range of brightness, the craftmanship of the head is beautiful and oh yeah the biggest selling point for me >>>>>>>> IT'S UPGRADABLE meaning when the next newest brightest led comes along Ray and the guys at bright eyes can upgrade the bulbs instead of having to buy a completely new head. That is my view on the white lighting but don't just take my word for it look around at your vendor go hunt with someone that has one. One shoe size does not fit all. It all comes down to personal preference.

Posted by Okie Dawg on 03-16-2010 02:41 AM:

Yes I have and the LED is much brighter and gives off a much better whiter light.

I dont sell lights, I dont know anyone that sells lights personnally, and i could care less what anyone else thinks of the other lights around.

But if I have a friend looking to buy a light and they call and ask what i think, WITHOUT a doubt its K Light G2 on a 21 volt battery. Its the best lights for the money, its lights and user friendly by having a reostat to tunr ligh from 0-100%, it brighter than any other head I have seen and I have most all other heads including Bright Eyes.

One last thing, the Smart light and preditor light is not even in the same class as these lights as far as quality and brightness. not even close. but these lights are handy to put on and take off. no hassel. Just my opinion from someone in a neutral corner.

Thank you I appreciate it. I am like you, don't have any stock in any of them. LOL
I ordered the Bright eyes the other day and haven't gotten it yet. I was just wondering if it will be brighter than my old 28 volt.
I agree with you about the smart light. I have one and love it for handy but it isn't close to being bright enough to make me happy for hunting. Sure love it for sticking on my head to feed dogs and I use it till my other one comes for hunting. It gets me by but that is about it. WAYYYYYYYYYY better than a carbide though....LOL

yes the higher the volts the brighter light so with saying that yes i have but it on a 28 volt light theirs not much difference but you can tell but if you want more burn time look in to the amp the more amps the more burn time. With the 4 amp light your looking at around 300 on low 20 on high and a 8 amp your looking at around 500 to 600 hours on low and around 50 on high so thats with the g2 i don't know with the others.

Posted by Okie Dawg on 03-16-2010 02:31 PM:

Your not getting the question though. Has anyone compaired the G2 or the Lightning to a regular 28 volt light?

Why is the valley creek dual led not talked about with these two lights? Does it not compare?
