UKC charging more money to change a dogs name?!?!

What's the deal with charging more money to change a dogs name now? I have heard this but haven't see it on here yet. Its been a while since I've been on here. If it is true how does it work and are there any other surprises I/we should know about?!

WE are winning!!!!!!!!!!

Travis,They had a meeting AT (UKC) today .(((THEY))) say now that we have until (Jan 1st) to change a dogs name on dogs that have been bred.AND.......There will not be any changes on the fees !!!!!........(((THIS))) shows is we do have (some) power on here about these changes...(WE are winning) I still want to be able to change any dogs name unless its already a champion...THE reason they give for the change they want to protect the breeders name on the dog to keep the dogs bloodlines strait.....(TO ME) thats a bunch of bull.....IVE hunted reg dogs for 40 years and IVE never heard anybody complain about that....BUT IVE heard (a lot) complaints about not being able to change a dogs name in (AKC)..... ALL thats going to do is cut down on how much that female or males going to be bred.... ((IF they are even bred at all NOW))..............CHET
