Looking For A Vet That Collects And Ships Semen

DOES ANYBODY OUT THERE KNOW OF A VET THAT WILL COLLECT A MALE DOG AND SHIP THE SEMEN TO LOCATION NEEDED TO BREED. I'M LOOKING IN THR TRI STATE AREA OF ILLINOIS WISCONSIN AND IOWA. I KNOW THE UNIVERSITIES PROBABLY DO IT, BUT ALL ARE PRETTY FAR OUT OF THE POCKET AS FAR AS TRAVEL I WOULD LIKE TO FIND SOMETHING WITHIN AN HOUR TO A COUPLE HOURS OF THE N.W. CORNER OF IL. ALL HELP IS APPRECIEATED. <v>

perry theres a vet at either verona or mt horeb that does it..just can't remember which town..i'll get back with you later tonight, a freind showed me the brochure with the prices..seemed to be reasonable.

DAVE, I CALLED A PLACE IN MT. HOREB THAT WAS ON A LIST ON THE UKC BOARD FOR STORING SEMEN. THE GUY GAVE ME A WEB SITE, THERIO.ORG TO LOOK AT, BUT SAID THEY DIDN'T COLLECT OR SHIP. MIGHT BE 2 DIFFERENT PLACES. THE PLACE YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT DOES THE COLLECTING AND SHIPPING ??

perry, i called the guy and he said it was not minitube. he didn't have the brochure with him but did have the phone # for the place and it doesn't match minitubes # heres the number 608-238-6100

I read your statement where she will be ready to breed on Monday. If that's the case, I believe the best your going to be able to do is get the semen there on Tues. if you can find someone to draw him off and ship it. Semen would be shipped next day air on Monday and should arrive on Tues. but you need to check with UPS or Fedex to see if overnite is even available to the zip code you need to ship to. Sometimes even when shipping chilled semen the timing is all messed up on when you can ship or when she's ready. If you where close I'ld do it for ya. None the less semen should be chilled for a period of no more that 24 hours before female is bred for best results. Good luck, Danny G.

NOT ALOT. FOUND SOME THAT COLLECT AND A.I. AT THEIR FACILITY, BUT SEEMED STUMPED AT THE PACKAGING/ ADDING EXTENDER/ SHIPPING IN GENERAL.
