Olso here is another next time you catch a criter un snap the pup right on its but after he ran 10 15 feet out cage i know people say its to eysey but you want to boost comfidence not take it away from young dogs do this 2 or 3 times if you dont have an old dog if you got an old dog do what i sead with the young dog but give the criter and pup a head start from the old dog that way your pup loses track old dog can comein and help him. Thanks for your input. I might be able to run it with a old dog In the next couple of days I will know. Just waiting to see if This female dog is coming into heat or not before I will be able to run her. I have heard that most plotts will not open until they see the cat but I was just hoping that this was not going to be the case with this one. But here again we'll give it a shot and see what happens. Thanks again
Jim
I had a dog that ran lion and bobcats silent for the first few tracks . as he started getting it figured out and treeing a few he would open on track but only after he had trailed for 10 or 15 minutes. he did this on a few more tracks finally he would open start to finish.
