good hunt

2 young hounds,16 mnths and 14 mnths
1 tree together
8 split trees
6 single coon
1 den
1 slick
1 possum

highlite of the nite
7x7 bull elk with a coyote tagging along with him within 40 yards from us.
end result-elk travels alone,coyote has severe head wound and no longer travels.

nope,not a coon pen,although i did manage to tree and look at 16 single coon over the weekend.
pretty dang good when you consider the mutts i hunt and the mental abuse i take from my hunting partner.
im lookin for a new dog and partner.

Thats quite a bit Elvis, Larry Pattison said we would go over, and hunt in Russ's pen some time, I would like to just see that thing!! Sounds like some good hunting, but, I would be watching for those big bulls in the rut!!!

We are in the closed season here, and I know In, is in the closed season. Can you hunt in the pen now?? If so, thats pretty handy.

no sir,no hunting allowed in indiana till nov 8.
next time you come in here to pattisons,mebbe we can hook up for a hunt.i live about an hr from larry.

Actually hunting in that deer pen is alot of fun...Sure wish I had one here close to me.......Can't wait to get back out that way for another trip..I just hope the RUMOR I heard about it becoming a Bull pen aren't true...But hey I don't have to out run the Bull's just Elvis...LOL
